Robinhood (RH) Chain went from a standing start in early July to a chain processing nearly 200 million transactions in under 1 month! Daily new transactions spiked to over 11M within the first two weeks, and the chain is now settling into a steady rhythm of roughly 9M transactions a day.

Scaling to keep up

The massive transaction volume surge following a calm first week pushed Blockscout infrastructure to the limit! With all hands on deck we traced the bottlenecks to a handful of inefficient queries which were getting pummeled on high-traffic endpoints, then rewrote them for far more efficient index scans. This update cut database CPU load dramatically and allowed the explorer to catch up. At the same time, we hardened the indexer itself to prevent future issues.

We worked in close coordination with the Robinhood team to keep everything indexing throughout the surge and massive tx spike. A big thank you to the RH team and RH community for your support as we bolstered public infra in real time!

By the numbers in month 1 (through July 29)

  • Total transactions processed: 190.78M

  • Transactions (24h): 9.39M, average fee 0.0000036 ETH (sub-cent, as promised at launch)

  • Total contracts deployed: 1.90M, of which 375.6K are verified (verification pace spiked to 43K in a single day around July 26)

  • Account abstraction (ERC-4337) adoption: 2.36M user operations processed, 165.8K AA wallets created, active AA wallets peaking near 30K/day in the past week

  • Total tokens indexed: 628.6K

  • Total accounts: 2.37M, with daily active accounts peaking above 300K in mid-July and holding around 250K/day since

Token submissions

We've been streamlining how projects get token info listed on the explorer. Teams can submit token name, contract address, icon, and description directly through the token page if they hold the deployer wallet, or via a manual review path if that wallet is not accessible. Robinhood Chain is one of the first supported networks for expedited review, so token projects that want faster turnaround can use our expedited review process. Full steps are available in our token info docs.

Pro API usage

Pro API adoption has climbed right alongside Robinhood Chain's growth. Registered Pro API users are up more than 70% in the past month, and daily API call volume has more than doubled since the start of July, coinciding with the Robinhood Chain launch and the surge in builders integrating against it. Same AI software. Wildly different results.

Every company in this dataset bought the same AI capabilities. The difference in results came down to one thing: whether someone inside CX owned it.

One beauty retailer made 202 workflow updates in 30 days — refining as policies changed and new questions came in. Companies without a named owner saw performance stall or decline.

🗞️ Blockscout News in Brief

Ethereum Institutional Supporter

We're proud to join the coalition of supporters focused on driving institutional adoption for Ethereum. Ethereum Institutional is an independent non-profit dedicated to accelerating the institutional adoption of Ethereum, its L2s, applications and overall ecosystem. x402 is Live on Blockscout's Pro API

x402 is a stablecoin payment rail that lets AI agents pay for API access on their own. With x402 agents funded with a wallet can hit an endpoint and pay for the info without an account or API key. Blockscout's Pro API and MCP server now support x402, so agents can pay per call in fractions of a cent across 120+ chains while teams billing centrally keep using an API key. Learn how to get it going in our latest blog post.

Prioritizing Security with Giveth

We received funding from the Giveth Ethereum Security QF round in May, and have been busy shipping security-focused upgrades thanks to this grant. So far, we've added better detection for verifying mid-bytecode proxy contracts, clearer human-readable transaction summaries, an improved Revoke app with confirmation feedback, and native support for confidential tokens (ERC-7984). Rootstock Wallet-as-a-Service Pilot Wraps

We successfully wrapped our 6-month Wallet-as-a-Service project with Rootstock, introducing a global wallet infrastructure directly into the explorer at https://rootstock.blockscout.com and servicing 2,349 total authenticated users over the course of the pilot. We are looking forward to mainnet activation for a new yield vault which has incorporated the wallet into their app. More info on the pilot 👇🏻
